More Than Words - Parents Program

Book a 10 minute suitability call

More Than Words is an evidence-based Hanen 12-week parent training program led by paediatric speech pathologist Tammy Nguyen.

Delivered online via Microsoft Teams to a small group of up to eight families.

Raising a child with autism can come with lots of questions. More Than Words® helps parents turn everyday moments like play, meals and bath time into opportunities for interaction and communication.

On this quick call, we’ll confirm if the program is the right fit, talk through NDIS funding, and answer questions. After filling out the form, Tammy will call to address all of this and give more of a breakdown.

Is this program a good fit?

A good fit if:

  • You are a parent/carer of child who is aged 0–5

  • You are a parent/carer of a child who has an autism diagnosis and/or limited verbal language and social skills

  • You can attend most Wednesdays online via Microsoft Teams 9:30am–12:00pm AEST

  • You want practical tools for home routines

Might not be the best fit if:

  • Your child is outside the age range

  • You cannot commit to the session time

  • You are looking for 1:1 therapy only

When: Wednesdays 9:30am–12:00pm (22 April – 8 July 2026)
Where: Online via Microsoft Teams
Who: Parents of children aged 0–5 years old with autism and limited spoken language
Cost: $1,420
NDIS Line Item – Early Childhood Intervention Professional – Speech Pathologist  [15_622_0118_1 _3]
Spots: Max 8 couples of parents/carers of children per group
*NDIS funded if your child has a plan

Is this just for NDIS participants?

No, private paying families are welcome too. The cost can be fully covered using your child’s NDIS plan (Speech Therapy – CB Daily Activities).

Do I attend this with my child?

This program is for parents only. Tammy works with you, so you can support your child at home.

What if I miss a session?

Tammy may offer a short make-up session where possible. (Additional fees may apply)
