Kirsty has worked at McCall for over 10 years starting as a support worker in Day Programs, then moving to Supported Independent Living.

Later, Kirsty took on Senior Support roles and, in April 2025, began working in Support Coordination.

Starting her career on the front line has shaped how Kirsty works today. She draws on her own experience and knows that everyone is different. Kirsty believes support should be based on each person’s needs, with real choices and meaningful options at the heart of every decision.

Each role had its challenges, but Kirsty says every step showed her she was on the right path. Her journey has been about steady growth, learning, and a strong focus on person-centred support.

In her current role, Kirsty enjoys the variety in her work and the team she works with every day.

Looking back, Kirsty says her biggest achievement is reaching where she is today, something she never expected ten years ago. She thanks the people around her for their encouragement, guidance, and belief in her.

Outside of work, Kirsty enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at home with a good movie, and hanging out with her cat.
