Community Hub Update
Currently under construction, the new McCall Foundation Community Hub is taking shape as a vibrant, inclusive space designed to support people in the community and their families now and into the future. Once complete, the Hub will offer a range of high-quality, personalised community services and facilities aligned with McCall’s Vision to be a leader of a community focussed on ability.
The state-of-the-art facilities will strengthen McCall’s capacity to deliver meaningful, person-centred programs and promote greater access and inclusion in the community. These services will include:
- A two-storey, purpose-built community building housing:
- School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) to help young people build skills and confidence as they transition into work and adulthood
- Community and Recreational Programs that foster social connection, creativity and independence
- An indoor swimming school offering safe, accessible spaces for fitness, learn to swim classes, therapy and socialising
- A Cafe
- Allied Health Rooms to support the physical and emotional wellbeing
- McCall Head Office, bringing our teams together in the heart of the community we serve
- Heritage restoration and adaptive re-use of the historic Box Hill House, Ross House, and Nelson Hall, the latter, which will be an exhibition space.
This exciting development will also serve as a central meeting place where people of all abilities can come together to learn, grow, and thrive.
We look forward to welcoming members of the McCall community for a behind-the-scenes tour in October—stay tuned for more details in the coming months!
